We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

  • Health checks – If you are aged 40-75 years and are usually fit and well, you will be offered a free health check every five years. This involves a full blood screening test and your height, weight and blood pressure will be checked. You will be asked questions regarding your general health, lifestyle and family history. You will then be offered advice based upon your results.

Advanced nurse practitioner clinics

We have two advanced nurse practitioners, who can prescribe for many different conditions without needing to consult the doctor.

In house pharmacists

We have two in house pharmacists who will assist with any medication queries and also hold medication review clinics.

Family planning

The practice offers a range of family planning services.

Cervical smear tests

We recommend that all women who are, or have been sexually active up to the age of 65 years have a smear test taken every three years, unless otherwise indicated.

Minor surgery

The doctors will undertake minor surgical procedures. Each individual case should be discussed with the doctor, following this an appointment will be offered.

Maternity care: High Street and Burtonwood sites only

High Street: The antenatal clinic is held every Monday between 10am and 3pm by appointment.

Burtonwood: The antenatal clinic is held every alternate Monday between 9:30am and 10:30am by appointment.

Child immunisation

During nurse clinics, ring the surgery for appointment times.

Travel information

If you are travelling abroad please make sure you contact us in plenty of time to arrange any vaccinations that may be necessary. To help the travel nurses assess your travel needs it is important that they are in receipt of the assessment form before your appointment.
